# Introducing GeoDrops !

Introducing Geo Drops, a new feature on NFTrace that takes airdrops to the next level. Airdrops have been a crucial aspect of the growth of the WEB3 space, as they provide a way to reward early contributors and users of certain protocols. Whether it's Azuki, Uniswap, or Genie gifting NFTs to their users, these airdrops have been done through classic smart contracts where holders of a certain NFT are rewarded.

At NFTrace, we want to take this concept of airdrops further by giving a new option for NFT collections, brands, and artists to drop NFTs at their desired location. This new feature can be thought of as a POA (Proof of Attendance) in which NFTs can be dropped at a specific location, allowing users to collect them in the real world.

As an alternative to token-gating, we are introducing geofencing as well. This allows NFT collections, brands and artists to drop NFTs in a defined location, making it accessible only to users within that specific area. This creates a new level of exclusivity and rarity for NFTs, making the collection experience even more unique and exciting.

In summary, Geo Drops is a new feature on NFTrace that allows NFT collections, brands, and artists to drop NFTs at their desired location, accessible only to users within that specific area. This creates a new level of exclusivity and rarity for NFTs, making the collection experience even more unique and exciting.
